Nineveh: Intelligence units of the 30th Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) arrested a member of the remnants of the ISIS terrorist group in Nineveh Governorate. A statement by the PMF confirmed the arrest, noting that it was part of a security operation executed by the units.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation involved luring the terrorist, identified by the initials H.R., into a well-planned ambush at one of the entrances to Nineveh. The successful arrest highlights ongoing efforts to combat ISIS remnants in the region.

The statement further noted that the terrorist is wanted under Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law due to his previous involvement in activities associated with what were termed “special camps.”
