Baghdad: Speaker of the Council of Representatives Haibat Al-Halbousi discussed bilateral relations and regional developments with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq, Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadeq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement issued by Al-Halbousi’s media office indicated that the Speaker received the Iranian ambassador at the headquarters of Taqadum Party in Baghdad. During the meeting, Ambassador Al-Sadeq congratulated Al-Halbousi on completing the initial constitutional procedures and his election as Speaker of Parliament.

The statement further detailed that the meeting focused on methods to enhance bilateral relations between Iraq and Iran. The discussions also covered regional developments and several issues of mutual interest between the two nations.
