The Supreme Committee in charge of preparing for the celebrations of the Iraqi National Press Day, formed under the direction of the Prime Minister, held an expanded evaluation meeting headed by the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Moayad Al-Lami,
And the presence of all members of the committee and representatives of the ministries and state departments and official bodies represented by the committee, and representatives of the ceremonies of the Prime Ministry, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
A statement by the Journalists Syndicate stated: "The meeting came to coordinate all procedures related to the festive activities organized by the Journalists Syndicate on the occasion of the (154) anniversary of the Iraqi National Press Day and to receive Iraq's guests to participate in the celebrations."
During the meeting, the plans for the events related to the celebrations were re-reviewed to ensure accuracy in the organization, foremost of which is the central celebration that will be held on the morning of Saturday 6/17 at Al-Rasheed Hotel, and the final touches to those plans were put in place, while the committees charged with receiving Iraq’s guests from ministers and dignitaries, Arab and foreign, will proceed for the participation of the Iraqi press family in its celebrations of this national occasion, its work.
On Thursday, June 15, the activities of the celebrations will begin, as the Syndicate announced in a statement that it will receive well-wishers on this occasion on Thursday morning at the Journalists Syndicate headquarters, followed by the festival of the Syndicate’s branches in the governorates in the evening, which will be held on the land of Al-Zawraa Park. The celebrations will continue until Saturday 6/17, when the central celebration will be held in Al-Rasheed hotel.
The meeting was attended by members of the Syndicate Council.
