Damascus: UN Secretary-General Ant³nio Guterres arrived in the Syrian capital, Damascus, on Saturday, marking the first visit by a UN Secretary-General to the country in over 13 years.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani received Guterres and his accompanying delegation at Damascus International Airport. The visit aims to reaffirm the UN’s support for Syria during the transitional phase.
