Baghdad: A young man was killed and two others were injured in a fight that broke out following a dispute over a local football tournament in Diyala Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the fight erupted between two groups of young men and escalated to the use of weapons due to a disagreement over holding a local football tournament in the Al-Sabtiya area, north of Baquba, the capital of Diyala Governorate.

The source indicated that security forces went to the scene and arrested one of the parties involved in the fight. The body was transferred to the forensic medicine department, and the injured were taken to the hospital for treatment.
