Zurbatiyah: The Border Ports Authority announced the thwarting of an attempt to smuggle medicines and medical supplies at Zurbatiyah port. The Authority stated in a statement that the detachments of the Zurbatiyah Border Port Directorate were able to seize a vehicle outside the customs area at the search and investigation point loaded with human and animal medicines, medical supplies, and cosmetics. All materials were hidden and not declared in the completed customs transaction for the purpose of smuggling.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a formal seizure report was prepared, and the materials were referred to the Zurbatiyah Customs Police Station. The matter will be presented before the investigating judge to take appropriate legal measures against the violators.
