Truck Drivers Protest Daytime Entry Ban in Babylon

Babylon: Dozens of truck and tanker drivers demonstrated today, Wednesday, in front of the Oil Products Distribution Department in Hilla, protesting the Babil Governorate’s decision to ban trucks and tankers from entering the city during the day.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the protest saw drivers blocking 60th Street, a major thoroughfare connecting Najaf and Baghdad, to express their dissatisfaction with the ban. The demonstrators warned that they would escalate their actions by blocking additional roads if their demands were not addressed.
