Washington: US President Donald Trump suggested on Sunday that the war with Iran could end either immediately after the US midterm elections or even before.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump stated in a press statement, “The war with Iran could end right after the elections, and maybe even before.” He emphasized that while Iran is eager to negotiate, he will not agree to unfavorable terms. “Iran wants to make a deal at any price, but I will not make a bad deal,” Trump asserted. He also reiterated the US stance on preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, stating, “Iran will not get a nuclear weapon, and we will not allow it.”

In addition to comments on Iran, Trump addressed issues involving Ukraine, urging Ukrainian President Zelenskyy to cease attacks on diesel facilities in Russia.
