Turkish Aircraft Strike Villages Near Dohuk, Northern Iraq


Dohuk: Kurdish sources announced that Turkish aircraft targeted sites in a number of villages on the outskirts of Dohuk Governorate, northern Iraq, on Monday morning, without specifying the extent of the losses.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, areas in the Kurdistan Region, northern Iraq, are being subjected to Turkish air and artillery bombardment. Turkish authorities say they are targeting members and sites of the banned Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). The bombing has continued despite the PKK’s recent announcement that it would lay down its weapons.
