Turkish Defense Ministry Announces Killing of 12 Militants in Northern Iraq Air Strikes


Ankara: The Turkish Defense Ministry has announced that 12 militants from the banned Kurdistan Workers’ Party were killed in air strikes conducted by Turkish warplanes in northern Iraq.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Turkish Defense Ministry issued a statement revealing that units of the Turkish army stationed in the areas of the Claw Lock operations in northern Iraq identified gatherings of Kurdistan Workers’ Party militants in the mountainous regions and nearby areas. In response, Turkish warplanes executed a series of air strikes, resulting in the death of 12 militants and causing others to flee the area.
