Turkish Jet Trainer Hrci Achieves Milestone in Flight Tests

Antalya: The Turkish jet trainer aircraft, Hrci, successfully completed new low-altitude and high-speed flight tests on Friday in the skies over Antalya province in southwestern Turkey. Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) announced that the domestically developed aircraft achieved these tests over the Mediterranean Sea.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, two separate Hrci prototypes participated in the rigorous testing phase, which entailed 18 sorties. Both aircraft successfully completed 79 planned test points without encountering any malfunctions, thereby showcasing their reliability and effectiveness. The tests were crucial for obtaining vital data at supersonic speeds, further proving the aircraft's capabilities.

The Hrci, with its superior performance and advanced systems, is set to enhance Turkey's pilot training capabilities significantly. The aircraft, equipped with a dual cockpit, is designed to train pilots for modern combat aircraft, making it a valuable asset for the Turkish Air Force.

Measuring 13.6 meters in length, 4.1 meters in height, and with a wingspan of 9.5 meters, the Hrci is capable of flying at Mach 1.4 and reaching a maximum altitude of 45,000 feet. It features seven hardpoints for weapons and payloads, allowing it to be equipped with various payloads, and can carry more than three tons of ammunition or other related systems.
