Izmir: The Turkish Navy has announced the rescue of 26 irregular migrants who were forced back into Turkish territorial waters by Greek authorities. The incident occurred off the coast of Izmir province in southwestern Turkey.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Turkish Coast Guard Command reported that its teams were dispatched to the area off the Seferihisar district in Izmir province following a report of migrants stranded on a rubber boat. The rescue operation successfully saved 26 individuals, which included 8 children, who had been pushed back into Turkish waters by Greek forces.

In a separate operation, Coast Guard teams in the €š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬¡esme district of the same province apprehended 24 irregular migrants, including a child, on a rubber boat in the Mediterranean Sea. After processing, the migrants were handed over to the provincial immigration directorate.
