Hilla: Two people were killed in a tanker explosion at a blacksmith’s workshop north of Hilla on Monday evening. Civil Defense Media Director Aqeel Abdullah reported that a gas tanker exploded while being repaired at a blacksmith’s workshop in the Barnoun area near the Martyrs’ checkpoint, the northern entrance to Hilla.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the police have transported the bodies to the forensic medicine department, and an investigation into the incident has been opened.
