Abu dhabi: The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned the Iranian drone attack that targeted the office of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and the residence of the Director of the Protection Agency in Erbil, located in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement labeling the attack as a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of both the Republic of Iraq and Iraqi Kurdistan. The Ministry emphasized that such actions pose a threat to the security and stability of the region.

The statement further expressed the UAE’s complete solidarity with the Republic of Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government. The UAE reiterated its support for any measures that would help preserve the security and stability of the area.
