UN Report Reveals Massive Destruction in Gaza

Gaza: The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) announced on Monday that 92% of homes in the Gaza Strip, or about 436,000 homes, were destroyed or damaged as a result of the Israeli aggression, while 90% of Palestinians were displaced from their homes.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the representative of the World Health Organization in Palestine, Rik Peeperkorn, stated that the announcement of a ceasefire brings hope, but the challenge ahead is significant. Addressing the needs and restoring the health system will be a complex task, considering the scale and complexity of the operations and the restrictions imposed.

The ceasefire in the Gaza Strip came into effect yesterday at 11:15 am, after a delay of more than two and a half hours. The delay was due to the occupation authorities announcing that it would not be implemented before they received the list of female prisoners scheduled for release.
