Baghdad: The UN Security Council has approved the extension of sanctions against Sudan. In an announcement made on Friday, the Security Council confirmed its decision to prolong the sanctions imposed on Sudan.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Security Council adopted a resolution that was drafted by the United States. This resolution renews the existing sanctions regime against Sudan, extending it until October 9, 2026.
