Cairo: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Police Affairs, Lieutenant General Hadi Ruzaij Kassar, visited the Egyptian Academy for Military and Strategic Studies on the sidelines of his leadership of the delegation participating in the 9th meeting of police chiefs in the Middle East and North Africa (INTERPOL).

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the visit aimed to strengthen security and academic cooperation and to learn about the latest educational and training systems in the military and security fields. The Undersecretary and his accompanying delegation toured the academy’s infrastructure, including training facilities, classrooms, and simulation centers. He reviewed the facilities and received a detailed briefing on the curricula and approved training plans, which combine theoretical and practical aspects in the areas of strategy, crisis management, and national security.

The Undersecretary also met with 80 Ministry of Interior officers participating in the 76th Staff Course to assess their training and living needs, ensure all requirements for the success of their studies are met, boost their morale, and motivate them to exert their utmost efforts to achieve the highest levels of performance.

The Undersecretary instructed the officers to adhere strictly to the study schedules and timetables, and to strive diligently and persevere in acquiring military and strategic knowledge. He emphasized the importance of making the most of this unique academic opportunity offered by the Academy, a leading scientific institution in the region. He affirmed that the experience they gain will positively impact their future performance, enabling them to become qualified leaders capable of guiding the Ministry in the coming phases and addressing security and strategic challenges.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Undersecretary reiterated the deep fraternal ties between Iraq and Egypt, commending the Academy’s efforts in preparing security and military personnel. He praised the high level of organization and discipline he observed during his tour and stressed the importance of continued coordination and exchange of expertise between the security institutions of the two brotherly nations.
