Diwaniyah: The US Embassy in Israel The US Embassy in Israel issued a security notice on Friday, urging non-emergency staff and their families to leave the country for safety reasons.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Embassy stated that “in response to security incidents, additional restrictions may be imposed or staff and their families may be prohibited from traveling to specific areas, including parts of Jerusalem, including the Old City, and the West Bank,” adding that “it is advisable to leave Israel while commercial flights are available.”

Weeks earlier, the United States issued an urgent warning to its citizens in Iran, urging them to leave ‘immediately,’ in an indication of escalating tensions as high-level talks were held in Oman between the United States and Iran.
