Siena:Tom Barrack, the US Presidential Envoy to Iraq, affirmed that his meeting with Judge Faiq Zaidan, President of the Supreme Judicial Council, was productive.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Barrack shared on X that the meeting with Judge Zaidan, who leads the body responsible for administering the judiciary and safeguarding its independence, was fruitful.

He emphasized the importance of a strong and independent judiciary, describing it as essential for sovereignty, the rule of law, and Iraq’s stability. Barrack expressed gratitude for the partnership, noting it as crucial for turning Iraq’s potential into prosperity.

Earlier, Judge Zaidan hosted Ambassador Barrack to discuss ideas on enhancing legal and judicial relations between the United States and Iraq, as stated by the Judiciary’s media office.
