Baghdad: The US military conducted an airstrike targeting two Iranian Revolutionary Guard rocket launchers on Larak Island. A US official announced the action, stating it took place as the launchers were reportedly preparing to deploy missiles carrying naval mines toward the critical Strait of Hormuz.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the US official revealed that American forces have successfully cleared mines from international shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz. The official also mentioned that US forces are maintaining vigilant surveillance of the area and are prepared to ensure the uninterrupted flow of commerce through this vital waterway.
