Baghdad: We will continue to economically strangle Iran. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that his country will continue to economically strangle Iran. Rubio stated in a press conference, “I don’t believe there is any entity supporting Iran militarily.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the US Secretary of State added, “Iran continues to fire on our warships and will pay the price by losing its tankers… They didn’t hit our ships, but they lost five more tankers last night.” This statement underscores the ongoing tension between the two nations, with the US taking a firm stance against Iran’s actions.

US President Donald Trump, meanwhile, threatened on Wednesday to launch further attacks against Iran, while expressing his belief that a war with Iran would end immediately after the midterm elections.
