Baghdad: Four individuals, including three women and a man, sustained injuries following a traffic accident on the Baghdad-Diyala road. A security source informed the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the accident involved a collision between two vehicles near the New Shatt district, located southwest of Baqubah. The impact resulted in one of the vehicles catching fire.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, emergency services promptly transferred the injured to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The incident has raised concerns about the safety conditions on the Baghdad-Diyala road.

This accident follows another tragic incident that occurred yesterday in the same area, where a vehicle collided with a transport truck. The previous accident claimed the lives of a man, his wife, his mother, his sister, and his three children, highlighting a worrying pattern of traffic mishaps on this route.
