Washington: The US State Department has given the green light for a possible sale of HIMARS missile systems and related equipment to Bahrain, with the deal valued at $500 million.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the proposed sale includes four M142 HIMARS systems, three tactical data systems, support equipment, and spare parts, all requested by Bahrain. The transaction is intended to bolster Bahrain’s capability to counter threats, safeguard US facilities and personnel, and facilitate integration into US-led coalitions.
