Baghdad: The Wasit Governorate Police Command has firmly denied reports suggesting the seizure and dismantling of a booby-trapped Samand vehicle within the province.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Police Command issued a statement refuting the news circulating on various social media platforms. The statement clarified that the claims about a booby-trapped Samand vehicle in the governorate are unfounded, and no such incident has been recorded by security forces in the area.

The Command urged media outlets and online commentators to ensure the accuracy of their information and to rely on official sources when reporting on security matters. It also warned against spreading unreliable information that could lead to public unrest. Furthermore, the Police Command expressed its intent to pursue legal action against individuals who intentionally disseminate false or misleading information that might jeopardize the security and stability of the governorate.
