Gaza: The World Food Programme announced that 100% of Gaza’s population faces severe levels of food insecurity.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the programme added that nearly 1 in 3 people in Gaza go without food for days at a time. It noted that thousands of people are on the brink of catastrophic levels of hunger.

The statement emphasized that food aid is the only way for people to access food. It called for an immediate and sustainable ceasefire and stressed the need to ensure safe and unhindered access to those in need.
