Basra: The woman who assaulted the administration of Al-Barjasiya Kindergarten in the Al-Zubair district has been arrested by Basra police.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Basra Police Command reported that the arrest took place after the woman attacked the director and her assistant at the kindergarten. The incident occurred when the administration refused to register the woman’s daughter due to her not meeting the legal age requirement for admission.

The assault resulted in injuries, with the director of the government-run Al-Barjasiya Kindergarten sustaining a head wound and her assistant suffering bruises on her hand. The refusal to register the child, based on age requirements, led to the confrontation, highlighting the tensions surrounding school admissions in the district.
