AbuGhazaleh, EMPHNET sign MoU to cooperate in training of health sector staff

Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Professional Training Group (TAGI-TRAIN) and the Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network (EMPHNET) signed a Memorandum of Understanding under the patronage of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org), and HE Dr. Mohannad Al Nsour, CEO of EMPHNET to cooperate in the provision of training services for staff working in the health sector.

The MoU stipulates on the cooperation between the two parties in the issuing of a joint certificate of the training Field Epidemiology Training Programs (FETPs) and the provision of TAG-Org's services that include Translation and ICT, through the Organization's offices mainly in countries where the Network has no branches.

TAG-Org has offices in 85 offices all around the world, while the Network's branches exist in Iraq, Egypt, Yemen, the KSA, Morocco, Jordan in addition to Afghanistan and Pakistan and it operates in 14 countries around the world.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh highlighted the importance of the professional services in various fields and in particularly in the health domain stressing the keenness of TAG-Org to provide its professional services in all fields which enhance the skills and efficiency of staff.

Cooperation will be conducted in various training programs that consist of leadership and management in the health field of expertise and Emergency Management, the programs will be offered in Arabic and English and the training mechanisms will vary from academic, field and online activities.

Programs target all staff working in the health field including doctors, nurses, midwives, and medical observers. Moreover, the needs of the health sector locally and regionally will be studies to provide the required programs in addition to examining other experiences and experiments to benefit from them.

Meanwhile, Dr. Nsour said that the Network relentlessly seeks to provide the health needs and contribute to capacity building of the workers in the health field, enhance and establish strategic partnerships with individuals, governments, and organizations locally and internationally as well as networks working in public health. He also noted that the Network cooperates with countries of the Eastern Mediterranean Region to enhance public health systems in the prevention and control of diseases, conducting research and practically implement them to benefit of them in improving the health situation in the countries of the region.
