Foreign Ministry: Sabhan Did Not Yet Understand, After Being Expelled The Ministry For All Iraqis

BAGHDAD / Foreign Ministry confirmed that the Saudi Minister of State for the Gulf, Thamer Sabhan did not understand that the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs for all Iraqis.

The official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Jamal said in a brief statement that Sabhan did not understand after being dismissed that the Foreign Ministry for all Iraqis.

He added: "Pushing Mecca's name in Sabhan's statements is a proof of bankruptcy and weakness and this lie is suitable to be published in the Middle East newspaper".

The Minister of State for Saudi Arabia for the Gulf, Thamer Sabhan accused Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari on Wednesday that "he wants to destroy Mecca first and then condemns" in an apparent reference to the Iraq's reservation on the decision of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on the accusation of Saudi Arabia to the Houthis fired a missile toward Mecca, and considering this as "kidnapping" of Arabic Ministry for "Iran interests" and this is a disaster."

The ministry of foreign affairs announced on 18 November, Iraq's reservation to a decision by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on the accusation of Saudi Arabia to the Houthis fired a missile toward Mecca, attributed the reason for the reservation to the lack of "proof to the incident."

Saudi Arabia, on 28 of last October, accused Houthi rebels of fired a missile from the Yemeni province of Saada border towards the holy city of Mecca, pointed out that the air defense system managed to intercept and destroy it about 65 km from the city.

The rebels said, at that time, they fired a rocket into Saudi Arabia but targeted the King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah.
