IRAQI POLICE DISMANTLES CAR BOMB EAST OF BAGHDAD

Iraqi police units dismantled a car laden with explosives, near a crowded market in the capital, the interior ministry announced.

The saloon car was parked by Sadriya market, in eastern Baghdad and was loaded with explosive materials, ministry's press adviser, Wahab Al-Tai, said in a statement.

Specialised security units were able to dismantle the vehicle, without causing human or property losses, he said, pointing out that, security bodies' keenness and vigilance, in monitoring any suspicious situation and action, are able to protect the security of citizens
