Jaafari, British Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations And The War On Terror

BAGHDAD / Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari received a phone call from the British Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Tobias Ellwood today which discussed the conduct of relations between Baghdad and London, and ways of strengthening them to serve the interests of the two peoples, and developments in the war against terrorism.

Jaafari, during the phone call, according to a Foreign Ministry statement "discussed victories that Iraqis have achieved in their war against Daesh gangs and developments in the battle to liberate the city of Mosul, and the need to provide the necessary support for Iraq until the liberation of Iraqi territory, and the reconstruction of liberated areas and re-displaced people to their home areas.

For his part, the British minister reiterated "his country's keenness on continuing support for Iraq in its war against terrorism.
