Kuwait on Wednesday handed out 1,300 food baskets among the residents of liberated areas in the Iraqi city of Mosul as part of "Kuwait is By Your Side" campaign.
Al-Barazani Charity Foundation's humanitarian aid distribution chief, Mohammad Bahaeddin, told KUNA that aid was given out to the needy families who are suffering from ongoing battles with the Islamic State (IS).
Bahaeddin noted, that each food basket weights over 30 KGs, while thanking State of Kuwait for presenting all kinds of aid needed to the needy.
He also hailed the swift response in giving humanitarian aid to displaced Iraqis wherever they are.
During this week, Kuwait has delivered three shipments of basic food commodities to the people of Mosul.
