Kurdistan Region President, Masoud Barzani, received a diplomatic delegation from the United Kingdom headed by Ambassador Frank Baker, the UK’s ambassador to Iraq.
During the meeting President Barzani and Ambassador Baker discusses the political and security issues in Iraq in general and in the Kurdistan in particular. The two sides also talked about the Islamic State’s advance in Ramadi and spoke of the danger that is posed by the terrorists of the Islamic State not only to Iraq, but also beyond.
Ambassador Baker and President Barzani also spoke of the relations between Baghdad and Erbil and expressed optimism on the matter. He reiterated the support of the United Kingdom to the Kurdistan Region, especially during this crucial time as the Kurdistan Region is engaged at a war against the cruel Islamic State.
