The Holy Family Church in Baghdad Re-Opened After Maintenance Work

BAGHDAD / The patriarch of the Chaldeans in Iraq and the world, Louis Raphael I Sako opened the Family Holy Church in Al-Bataowin area in the capital Baghdad, sync with the Christmas celebration and New Year's Day.

Sako said in a press statement: "The opening of the church came after repairing and maintenance work that took more than six months, carried out by the Chaldean Patriarchate."

It is mentioned that the Holy Family Church locates in Bataowin neighborhood and opened on July 16, 1960, and was damaged because of the humidity and it is old and the Patriarchate carried out the maintenance and refurbishment works at their own expense .
