Baghdad - The members of the Security Council condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist attack on the Iraqi embassy in the Afghan capital Kabul on Monday, killing two Afghan civil servants inside the embassy and wounding a police officer. One of the local branches of Daesh organization claimed its responsibility for the attack.
The members of the Security Council, according to the statement of the United Nations Mission in Iraq (UNAMI), expressed deep sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims and Iraq and Afghanistan governments, wishing speedy recovery for the wounded in this terrorist attack.
The Foreign Ministry announced Monday that the Iraqi embassy in Kabul had been subjected to a terrorist attack.
