Seven policemen, including two officers, were killed and wounded in an explosion northeast of Baquba, the center of Diyala province.
A local source told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): “An explosive device exploded on a security force during a search in Jumana village in the outskirts of Jalawla northeast of Baquba.”
“The explosion killed five policemen and wounded two officers, one of them the commander of the sixth emergency regiment, , and they were taken to hospital,” he added.
It is mentioned that a joint security operation was launched this morning to track Daesh cells in Al-Tabaj north of Jalawla
