BAGHDAD: Eight students from the Police College and the Military College were involved in a fatal traffic accident on the Baghdad-Diyala road, resulting in multiple deaths and injuries.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a collision involving three cars occurred near the Jadidat al-Shatt district, southwest of Baqubah, the center of Diyala Governorate. The accident resulted in the deaths of three students and injuries to five others, all of whom hailed from the Jalawla district.

The deceased were transported to forensic medicine facilities, and the injured were taken to a hospital for treatment. The tragic incident highlights ongoing concerns about road safety in the region.
