Four Bodies of Terrorists Discovered Following Airstrike in Salah al-Din


BAGHDAD: The Joint Operations Command has announced the discovery of four bodies of terrorists in Salah al-Din Governorate, marking the aftermath of a recent airstrike conducted by Iraqi F16 aircraft.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Security Media Cell released a statement detailing the operation. The airstrike occurred in the “Balkanah” sector east of Salah al-Din, and with the first light of dawn, a force led by the commander of operations east of Salah al-Din, along with elements from the Military Intelligence Directorate, began an on-ground search of the area. The operation, monitored by the targeting cell in the Joint Operations Command, resulted in the discovery of four terrorist bodies and the dismantling of three explosive belts.

In addition to the bodies and explosive belts, the search uncovered various weapons, logistical materials, devices, and other criminal evidence inside a deep tunnel within the targeted mountain. The airstrike, described as precise and qualitative, was carried o
ut by the Air Force, known as the Falcons of the Air Force.

The Security Media Cell emphasized that these preemptive operations, based on accurate intelligence information, have yielded significant results in combating the remnants of terrorist gangs. They further stressed the commitment of the security forces to continue their efforts against ISIS and its leadership, affirming their resolve by highlighting the dedication of the personnel armed with the love of Iraq.
