Gaza: The fourth batch of the exchange of prisoners and detainees between Hamas and Israel is expected to be implemented today, under the Gaza agreement. Israel has confirmed receiving a list of names of three detainees in the Gaza Strip who are scheduled to be released today.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Palestinian Prisoners Club announced a list of names for the fourth batch of prisoners scheduled to be released, numbering 183 detainees. This group includes 111 individuals from the Gaza Strip who were arrested after October 7. Among the three Israelis to be exchanged today are Yarden Bibas, Keith Segal, who holds American and Israeli citizenship, and Ofer Calderon, who holds French and Israeli citizenship.

On Thursday, Hamas released three Israeli and five Thai detainees, while Israel reciprocated by releasing 110 Palestinian prisoners. Additionally, a group of Palestinians is expected to cross from Gaza into Egypt on Saturday through the recently reopened Rafah crossing.

So far, 15 of the 33 detainees scheduled for release in the first phase of the ceasefire, in exchange for 400 Palestinian prisoners, have been released. Negotiations are scheduled to continue by Tuesday on agreements to release more than 60 detainees and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza in the second phase of the agreement.

The first phase of the six-week ceasefire, agreed upon with Egyptian and Qatari mediators and supported by the US, has remained on track despite incidents leading each side to accuse the other of violating the agreement.
