Baghdad: Iranian state television announced today, Saturday, the unveiling of a new missile city belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Navy, located underground on the southern coasts of Iran.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the missile base is equipped with advanced cruise missile systems capable of confronting electronic warfare and intercepting enemy warships, which enhances Iran’s defensive and deterrent capabilities in the maritime domain.

During an inspection visit, the Commander-in-Chief of the Revolutionary Guards, Major General Hossein Salami, was briefed on the combat readiness of the missile units at the new base. He reviewed the latest developments in missile systems, which have witnessed significant improvements in electronic confrontation capabilities and rapid response to military operations.

The report indicated that a new defensive achievement was revealed during the visit, reflecting Iran’s continued development of its defensive capabilities in light of regional and international challenges.
