Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from his American counterpart Donald Trump, marking their first communication since Trump’s statements about the potential displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to Egypt and Jordan.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the official spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency stated that President Sisi congratulated President Trump on his assumption of power for a second term, acknowledging the trust the American people have in him. Sisi extended an invitation to Trump to visit Egypt to bolster strategic relations and discuss the Middle East’s complex issues, contributing to regional stability. The invitation also included attending the opening of the new Egyptian Museum.

In response, President Trump invited Sisi to visit Washington and meet at the White House. The call covered bilateral, regional, and international issues, emphasizing the strategic relations between the two nations. Discussions included strengthening economic and investment relations and cooperation in water security. Both leaders expressed their commitment to achieving peace and stability in the Middle East.
