Antalya: The Speaker of the Turkish Parliament, Numan Kurtulmus, stated that the lands of the Palestinians, which include both Muslim and Christian territories, are not available for purchase by US President Donald Trump and his companies. He emphasized that these lands are the rightful homeland of the Palestinian people.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Kurtulmus made these remarks during an educational forum in Antalya. He condemned Trump’s plan to seize the Gaza Strip and forcibly displace Palestinians, asserting that the Gaza Strip has always belonged to its Palestinian residents and will continue to do so indefinitely.
Kurtulmus highlighted that both Muslim and Christian Palestinian lands are not for sale, reiterating their ownership by the Palestinian people. He further criticized the Israeli military, equipped with advanced weaponry, for failing to occupy Gaza, despite ongoing resistance for a year and a half.
He noted attempts to rescue Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his aides, who are facing global scrutiny, particularly concerning prisoner exchanges. Kurtulmus also criticized Trump’s pressure on the International Criminal Court (ICC), which has issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant for alleged war crimes against Palestinians.
Last Thursday, Trump imposed sanctions on ICC officials after the court’s issuance of arrest warrants in November 2024. Trump accused the ICC of unlawfully targeting the United States and its allies, including Israel.
In a recent press conference, Trump discussed plans to seize Gaza after displacing Palestinians to other countries, which met with widespread international disapproval. Despite promoting a plan to relocate Palestinians to neighboring countries like Egypt and Jordan, both nations, along with other Arab countries and international organizations, have rejected the proposal.
