Washington: King Abdullah II of Jordan has commenced a working visit to the United States, with an anticipated meeting with US President Donald Trump slated for Tuesday in Washington.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the King is scheduled to hold discussions with several key figures during his visit. These include Secretary of State Marco Rubio, National Security Advisor Mike Walz, Special Envoy of the US President to the Middle East Steven Witkoff, and various members of the Senate and House of Representatives committees.

The agency further reported that the King will travel to Boston on Monday to meet with representatives from American companies and higher education institutions, as well as Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey. These meetings were originally postponed last December due to adverse weather conditions.

Additionally, it was confirmed that King Abdullah II has already met with US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth earlier in the day. The visit is part of Jordan’s diplomatic efforts to reaffirm its stance against the displacement of Palestinians from their land.
