Cairo: Egypt announced today, Sunday, that it will host an emergency Arab summit to discuss developments in the Palestinian issue on the twenty-seventh of this month. The summit aims to address the ongoing situation and strategize a unified response among Arab nations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry stated that the summit, requested by the Palestinian Authority, will be held in coordination with the Kingdom of Bahrain, the current president of the Arab Summit, and the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States. This decision follows consultations and coordination by Egypt at the highest levels with other Arab countries over the past few days.

Egyptian diplomatic sources have indicated that the summit aims to formulate a unified Arab position against the displacement of Palestinians from their homeland and the liquidation of the Palestinian issue. It also seeks to encourage the international community to plan and implement a comprehensive reconstruction process in the Gaza Strip, ensuring that Palestinians can remain on their land.

The proposal to hold the summit has received Arab consensus among member states. There is notable diplomatic activity by the Arab League and its member states in preparation for the summit, highlighting the importance and urgency of the matter.
