Diyala: The Committee for Combating Intellectual Extremism in Diyala Governorate held a meeting to discuss ways to enhance peaceful coexistence and community security in cooperation with the community police and the Friends of the Interior Division in the governorate’s police command.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, ways to combat intellectual extremism, which is one of the main causes of the spread of terrorism, were discussed. The importance of promoting a culture of peaceful coexistence among all segments of society and spreading awareness about the dangers of intellectual extremism and its negative effects on community security and social stability was emphasized.
The attendees stressed the importance of coordination between security and service agencies in reducing negative phenomena and enhancing the concept of civil peace in the governorate. This coordination contributes to building a stronger society capable of facing security and intellectual challenges and supporting initiatives aimed at consolidating the values of tolerance and coexistence among members of society.
