Baghdad: Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the Arab presidents, kings, princes, their representatives, and the Secretary-General of the Arab League for their active participation in the Arab Summit.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Fuad Hussein emphasized in a press conference this evening that the distinguished efforts of all state institutions had a significant impact on the success of the current Arab Summit and the Arab Development Summit, and their successful outcome. He also commended the distinguished role of all parties supporting the preparations for such an important event.

The Foreign Minister said, "We extend our special thanks to the Iraqi people in general, as well as the audio, visual, and print media, for highlighting Iraq's active role, generosity, and hospitality."

Fuad Hussein emphasized that the Arab Summit resulted in a series of important political and economic decisions, with the Palestinian issue top of the summit's agenda. He also discussed crises in the Arab region.

The Foreign Minister praised the Sultanate of Oman's role in mediating between the United States and Iran.

Hussein said: "The outcomes of the development summit focused on enhancing cooperation and sustainable economic integration to serve the Arab region," affirming Iraq's full commitment to working with its Arab brothers to implement the summit's decisions.

The Foreign Minister emphasized that "the convening of the summit carries an important message that Iraq has regained its health and leadership position, and a clear message that the stability Iraq is witnessing was achieved through the sacrifices of its people and paves the way for investments and development projects that serve future generations."

He added: "Iraq today renews its commitment to building sustainable partnerships with its Arab brothers and strengthening relations with all parties."
