Baghdad: The Director General of the Iraqi Drilling Company, Engineer Hassan Mohammed Hassan, engaged in discussions with a delegation from Azimut Middle East of Oman to form a strategic alliance involving four prominent international drilling companies. This collaboration aims to enhance the technical and operational capabilities of the Iraqi Drilling Company.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the company's media office released a statement outlining that the proposed alliance is designed to offer comprehensive support in several key areas. These include financing, the provision of drilling rigs, the transfer of international expertise, and the execution of advanced training programs for the personnel of the Iraqi Drilling Company.

The alliance is expected to comprise ADES, a Saudi-Egyptian company supported by the Saudi sovereign wealth fund, the Egyptian Drilling Company, Azimut Middle East from Oman, and ADVANSYS PROJECTS. ADVANSYS PROJECTS has also submitted an official proposal to maintain and operate several drilling rigs owned by the Iraqi company, with the maintenance expenses to be deducted from the operational revenues of the rigs.

The Director General highlighted the significance of this partnership in bolstering the company's future plans and enhancing its presence in the oil market. This will be achieved through collaboration with firms that have substantial expertise and a robust regional and international presence.
