Maysan: The director of one of the Ministry of Electricity’s departments was killed in an armed attack, a security source in Maysan province announced on Saturday. Unknown gunmen opened fire on Najm Abdullah, the director of the Al-Salam district electricity department, resulting in his immediate death.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, security forces quickly responded to the incident by securing the area and transporting Abdullah’s body to the forensic medicine department for further procedures. An investigation has been launched by the relevant authorities to uncover the details surrounding the attack.
