Babylon: A force from the Organized Crime Unit arrested a woman on charges of drug trafficking in Al-Hashimiyah district, south of Hillah, the capital of Babylon Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Colonel Yasser Salim Wiwit, the director of the Organized Crime Unit in Babylon, stated that intelligence information led to the woman’s arrest. Narcotic pills were seized in her possession that she was attempting to transport from Al-Hashimiyah district to Hillah city.

He further mentioned that the police have transferred the accused to the relevant authorities for investigation, and the seized items have been impounded.
