Karbala: The Arab and International Police Directorate in Karbala has arrested 27 individuals of various nationalities for violating residency regulations. A police statement indicated that the arrests followed a thorough field investigation into the movement of foreign workers within the province, revealing their violation of residency requirements and regulations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation was carried out by a joint committee comprising representatives from the Residency Department, the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, the Intelligence Directorate, and the Immigrants Division. The detainees were subsequently handed over to the Residency Affairs Department/Deportation Division to complete the necessary legal procedures against them in accordance with applicable regulations and instructions.
