Baghdad: Deputy Speaker of Parliament Shakhwan Abdullah emphasized the significant role of tribal leaders and dignitaries in Diyala Governorate in supporting the state’s efforts to strengthen security, enhance stability, and protect society during challenging times.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during a meeting at his office in Baghdad with tribal leaders and dignitaries from Muqdadiyah and Shaharban districts in Diyala Governorate, Abdullah highlighted that the upcoming Parliament will focus on legislative and oversight functions. This includes monitoring the performance of departments and institutions to improve and provide the best services across all regions of the country.

The statement from the media office of the Deputy Speaker of Parliament noted that attendees congratulated Abdullah on his victory in the parliamentary elections for Kirkuk Governorate. Abdullah listened to their remarks and engaged in discussions about the general situation and the level of services provided to citizens.
